Steven Seagal has a music career!?
No Comments So a friend sent me this link today.

It’s not a joke. This is real.
While perusing the site I noticed something that left me shaken. I am not talking about the impression that Mr. Seagal is the most narcissistic and self-important person on the planet, though I don’t understand how anyone could look at this site and not shudder about that.
I am talking about this:
”
Steven Seagal now can add “Energy Drink formulator†to a list of talents that already includes veteran actor, singer/songwriter, guitarist, and Aikido black belt. Maintaining an unrelenting schedule that would tire younger entrepreneurs, the 54-year-old Seagal has just completed two movies, “Into the Sun†and “Submerged.†His album, Songs from the Crystal Cave, released earlier this year, has already hit the pop charts in Europe.
”
I was sure that I read it wrong, too. No we read it right. Steven Seagal is a “singer/songwriter” and he has an album on the pop charts in Europe! I really should have expected it…David Hasselhoff in Germany and Jerry Lewis in France, but really Europe…shame on you for this.
So there I was on Amazon absolutely amazed at the fact that this album existed…let alone that it could be purchased from legitimate retailers, when I scrolled down and struck pure entertainment gold.
Spotlight Reviews Oh Yeah there it is…there are few things more rewarding than seeing people shamelessly and cruelly attacking someone that you feel has wronged you merely by existing.
I had to share this with somebody.
And by the way there are some choice reviews on Amazon for David Hasselhoff’s work too.
Enjoy.
Wit, Never to be Aired on TV
No Comments So my addiction to KCRW is out of the box.
I have another hidden secret addiction within that addiction.
I listen to podcasts of Martini Shot, which is a weekly two to four minute commentary on Hollywood life by Rob Long (a television writer-producer). (Past shows found in the KCRW Archives).
TV audiences would benefit if TV shows had the same sense of sly irony and dry humor found in these podcasts. It is my guess that Rob Long failed.
View Discretion Advised
No Comments I saw most of this year’s LCS and World Series on FOX. Networks like having sporting events because they can then promo the heck out of their shows. Each game was littered with spots for Prison Break, Family Guy, Bones, House … and after each one there were these words View Discretion Advised. It appeard so often that I say FOX should just make that their slogan – FOX Viewer Discretion Advised. That is such killer slogan, I mean who cares what’s showing, I’d watch FOX just because whatever is showing offends nice sensible people in like Iowa or something. I also like it because FOX is saying that it is not for everyone a nice lesson that every other network should learn. Trying to appeal to the masses appeals to no one.
