The rumor/urban myth is that "Snakes on a Plane" was just a working title and they never intended to use it. But Samuel Jackson forced them to keep the name saying something like "The movie I signed on for was Snakes on a Plane...If you're not making Snakes on a Fucking Plane then I didn't sign on for your movie" I love that story.
